I'm pretty open to making new friends and adding, but this way I know who's reading my journal.

Added. I'm Dave. You live in Chicago, too?

I was in Prague around 3.5 years ago.

I am in Chicago, at least for the time being. I am Chanele.

I was supposed to take a fellowship in Prague two summers ago, and it fell through. Prague will always be something that catches my eye since.

Aw! Hopefully you'll be able to get there. I was on a study abroad trip to Vienna with another Livejournal friend in law school and we spent a few days in Prague.

I live just over the border in Indiana. Good to meet you.

I have been to Romania multiple times, but I did all of my schooling to this point on Russia and Eastern Europe, and traveling to all of these places is vital to me. I really would love to take a study abroad in the future, if I get the chance. I regret not doing it, especially in undergrad when life was painfully easy.

I regret not doing it, especially in undergrad when life was painfully easy. I have the same regret. I was supposed to go to the UK and then later Germany with a study abroad in high school, but didn't go and I didn't think of doing it in undergrad. I really wish I had.

I'd love to go to Russia and Eastern Europe at some point. I've sadly only traveled a little outside of the US so far.

I love traveling more than almost anything else in the world. I went to Paris in February, which was a dream come true for me. I really want to see more of Europe. It's always a matter of time or money - one or the other is lacking. That's life though, right?

I'm envious. Paris is right up at the top of my travel to-do list along with the UK. Hopefully in the next couple years. Where have you been in Europe?

[identity profile] zvezda.livejournal.com 2009-12-16 10:34 pm (UTC)(link)
I have been to Romania three times, once for 8 weeks, which was a really unique experience. Then, I have been to Paris. I cannot believe that is the extent of my travels to Europe. :( My fiance and I are looking at cruises to Europe for a honeymoon (or maybe just to elope), and northern Europe is our top choice right now.

I have been to Montreal, which I recommend to anyone who wants a feel of Europe without the price tag. I absolutely adored Montreal. I thought Vancouver would be my favorite Canadian city (and it is awesome), but Montreal was fantastic!

Stratford, Montreal, and Vancouver are at the top of my list for Canada. I've been to Ottawa briefly, but that's it for Canada. Then I went to Vienna, Salzburg, and Prague on that study abroad (plus Heathrow Airport in London.

Why Romania so many times? Do you have family there?

The first I went just to travel, and the other times were with my ex, who is from there. I suppose I don't regret his presence, as I got to have great times there. :)

Aw. That does sound like fun though. :)
